For a short time when I was 8 or 9 years old, I started art lessons with a well know teacher in Long Beach, Ca, My wise teacher said to me, "You can make wax crayons look like oil paint if you work at it".....and I am still working at it. These days, I've set up shop in beautiful, Lake Almanor, CA, and my goal is to bring each new piece of my crayon art to a fine art level. I derive extreme pleasure from creating my art with only wax Crayola crayons. and acid free paper. I also consider do pieces on commission. Please contact me to discuss if you are interested.
For a closeup look at how to use ordinary wax crayons in a fine art manner, take a look at the digital, Holiday Addition, of Teen-2-Teen Magazine. Click on this link and go to the article on pages 17 through 29.
